Lagom is a Swedish word that could mean "enough" or "sufficient," but without any of the negative connotations. It is what I hope to achieve in my culinary experiments: nothing too good, nor too fancy, but something just enough.
I was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, moved to England, married in Japan, and now live in Sweden. I have no culinary training whatsoever and the most complicated thing I cooked until I was an eighteen was probably Kraft Macaroni and Cheese. But as an adult I discovered that making food was just as fun as eating it, and so I began my haphazard self-education in the culinary arts.
